Fort Campbell, Kentucky (November 21, 2022) — Connected Nation is proud to honor Tyisha Varnado as our 2022 Digital Works Graduate of the Year. She and other awardees were recognized at the Digital Works hub in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, during a press conference on November 15, announcing CN’s latest digital literacy learning and educational programs for teens, teachers, veterans, and military spouses. The programs were launched in partnership with AT&T.
Tyisha is a military spouse who began Connected Nation’s one-of-a-kind Digital Works job creation program while living in Germany, and continued her training through an early summer change of station to Fort Campbell. She was ready to hit the ground running the minute she landed in her new location.
Tyisha secured an amazing remote position with a veteran service organization, so she is now working from home while providing a much-needed resource for those who have served. She was unable to receive her award in person because she was in training for her new job (we can’t think of a better reason!).
During the awards presentation, Digital Works’ Melissa Anderson said Tyisha was a “demonstration of resilience” during her time at Digital Works. She leads with a positive attitude, and a consistent and infectious smile.
Everyone at Connected Nation is very proud of Tyisha and wishes her the best of luck in her new career!
